North Carolina Poison Control offers a 2-day toxicology intensive experience where learners take an in-depth look at the science, assessment, clinical effects, decontamination, and treatment options for common poisonings. Learners follow poisoned patients, work 1:1 with Specialists in Poison Information (RN, RPh), and receive didactic learning in clinical toxicology from medical toxicologists, Specialists in Poison Information, and PharmD toxicologists.

The NC Poison Control rotation is accepting medical, pharmacy, nursing, and EMT students/learners to participate in this program.

This rotation is held on the 3rd Monday and Tuesday each month at the NC Poison Control Center in Charlotte, NC.

If you are interested in participating, please click here to contact us, and select the “Clinical Rotation Coordinator” option.
